Countryside Ranger Service 

The Countryside Ranger Service is based at Vogrie House. They offer:

  • Environmental education sessions
  • Free resource boxes for schools and groups
    • Pond dipping
    • Mini beast hunting
    • Bird walking
    • Exploring nature

Volunteering opportunities

Volunteers are a vital part of our programme of work to preserve and protect Vogrie Country Park.

  • Vogrie Volunteers: the group meets on the last Monday of each month to undertake practical conservation activities within the park.
  • Corporate volunteering and partnerships: opportunities are available to help make a difference to local greenspaces whilst encouraging workforce wellbeing and supporting business objectives.

Girlguiding Midlothian

  • Vogrie Residential and Training Centre is situated in the former stable block.
  • This building is not open to the public.
