Who should apply?
Anyone who operates a commercial dog day boarding business from a domestic or commercial premises.
The establishment must be licensed in terms of The Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963.

New applicant’s premises also require assessment by a Midlothian Council appointed vet. -
Additional information
An Environmental Health Officer will inspect your premises before issuing your licence. They may be accompanied by our Veterinary Officer. They will check that the premises and your animal welfare arrangements are suitable. We only grant licences to persons operating premises that meet the appropriate standards.
