What to do
Rubble and other building materials such as plasterboard, garden slabs and ceramic bathroom sanitaryware are not household waste. These types of material are classed as construction and demolition waste so we are not required to accept them for disposal at the Recycling Centre.
To help local residents to dispose of small amounts of rubble from small DIY projects a container is available at Stobhill Recycling Centre. Up to 4 refuse bags of rubble will be accepted.
A more convenient way to dispose of rubble, hardcore and other large quantities of DIY waste is to use a local skip hire service or a 'bulk bag' company. For more details, look in your local classified directory.
