Who they work with
JETS is a light touch provision aimed at those who are ready to get back into work. Participants must be of working age - 18 to State Pension age. They should have been unemployed and in receipt of benefits for at least 13 weeks, but no more than 52 weeks.
Be in receipt of UC and in the Intensive Work-Search regime or New Style JSA.
Have the right to reside and enter employment in the United Kingdom.

Description
JETS is aimed at those who have been in receipt of out of work benefits for at least 13 weeks. This voluntary programme is suited for those who are ready and motivated to find work.
Delivered in Midlothian by Reed in Partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions.
JETS participants have access to an online Career Centre which has a range of support resources including;
• Interview practice
• CV development
• Self-assessment tools
• Digital learning
• Wellbeing services.
Participants will work with their Reed in Partnership Employment Advisor to identify transferrable skills and create an action plan, agreeing job focussed activities that suit their individual needs.
Regular meetings help to keep participants on track and quickly remove any barriers they have.

How to access
Referrals to the programme are made by the local JCP Work Coach. The Participant receives a text signposting them to the JETS portal to register.
Registration for JETS Scotland requires the participant to enter their National Insurance Number and an email address.
If registration isn’t completed within 24hrs, the participant will receive a phone call to confirm the date of their first appointment.
