Snowsports - Adult Snowboarding Classes

Should your booking be for Beginner classes and for any reason the first date is missed, unfortunately the subsequent dates cannot be attended.

Not all levels may run on all 2025 dates advertised. Please check with reception for availability.

Adult Beginner level
Entry: Complete beginner or one previous lesson

Basics of technique
Control of speed and direction
Side slipping & diagonal side slipping
Safe use of uplift - tow and chairlift when available.

Levels achieved :
Level 1: Heel and tow edge side slip from green path/full length of nursery slope OR
Level 2: Diagonal side slip on heel and tow edge from first red path

Adult Intermediate level
Entry: Able to use the tow to the middle station & perform diagonal side slip on both toe and heel edge

Introduction and development of turning
Garlands on both heel and toe edges
Improve steering skills
Introduction to basic turns
Controlled descent from the top

Levels achieved:
Level 3: Garlands on heel and tow edge, controlled descent from second red path OR
Level 4: Basic turns on lower slopes, controlled descent from the top (face) OR
Level 5: Controlled basic turns from first red path.

Adult Advanced level
Entry: Able to turn consistently from the first red path and ride, in control, from the top station

Linking turns together
Turn on steeper terrain
Short radius and long radius turns
