Not all levels will run on all 2025 dates advertised. Please check with reception for availability.
When booked into a beginner class, should the first date be missed for any reason, the other dates in the block cannot be attended.

Beginner Snowboard
Entry: Complete beginners or have completed one open class
Content: Basics of technique. Control of speed and direction. Side slipping and diagonal side slipping
Safe use of uplift – tow and chairlift when available
Levels achieved:
Level 1: Heel and tow edge side slip from green path/full length of nursery slope OR
Level 2: Diagonal side slip on heel and tow edge from first red pathIntermediate Snowboard
Entry: Applicants should be able to use the tow to the middle station and perform diagonal side slip on both toe and heel edge.
Content: Introduction and development of turning. Garlands on both heel and toe edges. Improve steering skills. Introduction to basic turns. Controlled descent from the top
Levels achieved:
Level 3: Garlands on heel and tow edge, controlled descent from second red path OR
Level 4: Basic turns on lower slopes, controlled descent from the top (face) OR
Level 5: Controlled basic turns from first red pathAdvanced Snowboard
Entry: Applicants should be able to turn consistently from the first red path and ride in control from the top station.
Content: Linking turns together. turns on steeper terrain. Short radius and long radius turns
Levels achieved:
Level 6: Link turns together and vary the radius of the turn OR
Level 7: Turn on all terrain. Switch turns. Introduction to performance riding (freestyle, carving, racing, steeps)
