Who should apply?
Anyone who wishes to own a Private Hire Car or Taxi.
To renew a licence the licence holder must apply and pay for the licence at least 6 weeks before the current licence expires.

On receipt of the application, we will consult the Chief Constable who will report on the background of the individual. If authority is given for the grant of the Licence a further fee is payable.
