Licence and permit applications - Dangerous wild animal licence

Anyone who keeps a dangerous wild animal as defined in the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

Anyone wishing to keep Dangerous Wild Animals must apply for a licence before receiving the animal(s). Any nearby residents or other concerned persons can object.

When the application is received the premises concerned will be inspected by an Environmental Health Officer and the Council's Veterinary Adviser. A licence will be granted subject to the premises and welfare arrangements for the animal being satisfactory.
