Consultations - Early Learning and Childcare

The findings with be shared on our Citizen Space consultation pages and on social media. What you tell us will help make sure children continue to receive high-quality early learning and childcare that is flexible, accessible, and affordable for parents and carers.

For the purposes of this survey we define Early Learning and Childcare as the funded 1140 hours provided at Midlothian Council nurseries or our partnership centres for all 3 and 4-year-olds and eligible 2-year-olds.

We wanted to hear your views about:

• Choosing and attending an Early Learning and Childcare setting
• Accessing the funded 1140 hours of Early Learning and Childcare 
• The application process for allocating places in council Early Learning and Childcare settings 
• The quality of the parents and carers and children’s Early Learning and Childcare experience 
• Experience of accessing Additional Support for Learning for your child
• Future school age childcare demand
