Building Standards Division
The Building Standards Division of the Scottish Government manages Building Standards legislation and guidance documents.
Due to stricter controls, if your proposed work is to a flat, maisonette or a house over 2 storeys in height, the guidance may differ from that for a 1 or 2 storey house.
LABSS
LABSS (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) is a not-for-profit membership organisation representing Scotland's 32 Local Authority building standards verifiers.
The LABSS Resource Library provides Building Standards surveyors, homeowners, builders, developers, architects, contractors and the wider industry with access to an extensive library of technical guides and FAQs.
