National Care Service Consultation

Background and response

The Scottish Government commissioned an independent review of adult social care in summer 2020. 

Triggered by the conclusions from that review a consultation document was issued containing 95 questions extending beyond adult social care to include social care for all age groups and a wider range of needs and services including:

  • Children and young people
  • Justice social work
  • Alcohol and drug services
  • Social work
