Parking restrictions in residential areas

Yellow lines

We will only consider single or double yellow lines if there are serious road safety issues or if bin collections are affected by on street parking.

Parking on footways

It is illegal to drive or park on a footway. Parking at "dropped kerb" crossing points causes difficulty for people with reduced mobility.

Parking in front of driveways

If you cannot get out of your driveway because of a parked vehicle contact your local police station.
