We plan health and care services for people in their homes, in the community & in hospitals

Delivering healthcare and support in Midlothian

The Midlothian Integration Joint Board plans and directs some health and social care services for the people of Midlothian to help you live well and get support when you need it - from care homes to care at home, primary care to telecare, voluntary organisations to vaccinations.

We are a planning and decision-making body created by Midlothian Council and NHS Lothian. We work in partnership with many voluntary and independent providers.

Our vision is that everyone in Midlothian leads longer and healthier lives. We aim to provide the right care, in the right place and at the right time to support people to do this.

Share You Views on our Strategic Plan

Every 3 years we must write a Strategic Plan to set out how we will plan and direct these services. We have written a first draft of this plan and are asking you to share your views on it. Please read our plan and have your say to help shape the final version.

Recruiting an independent member of the IJB Audit and Risk Committee

We are looking for someone to represent the people of Midlothian on our Audit and Risk Committee.

The committee oversee external and internal audit plans, review audit reports, maintain our risk register and provide assurance on the governance of the IJB. It is supported by 4 voting members of the IJB and staff from the Health and Social Care Partnership.

The role of independent member is not a paid position. They cannot be a member or employee of Midlothian IJB, Midlothian Council or NHS Lothian.

The committee meet 4 times a year and the commitment is 16 hours every 3 months.

A background in finance, audit or corporate governance would be an advantage but not essential.
