Browsing is back - with a booking!

Customers at Dalkeith, Danderhall, Newtongrange, and Penicuik libraries are to finally get the chance to browse the bookshelves again - provided they have pre-booked an appointment!

Book your slot

From Monday (May 17), customers can book a slot using an online form or by contacting their library by email or telephone. Bookable slots will be for 30 minutes, with the total amount of customers allowed into each branch at any one time listed on the website.

Other libraries

Although other branch libraries remain closed, this is being reviewed on a weekly basis. It is hoped that Midlothian Council will be able to re-open the remaining libraries in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the mobile library will continue to offer services to the wider community.
