New pre-authorisation deposit for e-bikes
The operators of the e-bikes located at Jarnac Court, Dalkeith and Edinburgh College, Eskbank have introduced a £100 per bike pre-authorisation deposit for each ride, day pass or monthly pass. The deposit has been introduced to help make sure the bikes are not misused and usually takes a few days to be returned, depending on your bank.
Reporting problems
Email any problems with the e-bikes to Go e-bike customer service directly and not to Midlothian Council. If a member of the public spots an issue with a bike or sees an abandoned or damaged one, they should call +44 800 3688093.
Mini-network
The e-bike hubs were launched by the regional transport partnership, SEStran and form a mini network of public hire stations, allowing for journeys between transport interchanges and town centres. As well as the hubs in Dalkeith and Eskbank, e-bike sites are also provided at Brunton Hall Musselburgh and Musselburgh train station. The e-bike system operates from 4am to 11pm daily.
