Apply for a job placement at Midlothian Council
Finding it difficult getting a job? Midlothian Council has a number of paid placement opportunities for people who live in the area, who are over 25, and who have been out of work for more than a year.
No One Left Behind
Part of the Scottish Government’s “No One Left Behind” project, the placements are aimed at those who face a barrier to employment. They will last for 6 months and vary between 16 to 30 hours a week. They cover a wide range of service areas including catering, roads, facilities, communities, and lifelong learning and employability.
