Recovery from recent industrial action
Waste services have now resumed but there is likely to be some disruption as we catch up on the backlog.
Missed bins
- Services resumed from 30 August.
- There is likely to be some disruption to street cleansing activities and bin delivery requests as we catch up on the backlog.
- Please avoid calling us about overflowing litter/dog bins. We are working to have these emptied as soon as we are able.
- Please avoid making duplicate requests for new/replacement bins. We will deliver/replace your bin as soon as we are able.
- If your bin was missed during the recent action, it will be emptied on its next scheduled collection day.
- There will be no additional or "catch up" collections at this time. Information on any alternative collections of brown bins will be made available at a later date.
- We are aware that for some residents this may not be until after the future strike dates. A recovery plan will be put in place and communicated following this action.
- No additional bags or side waste will be collected. Bins must be presented for collection with the lids closed.
- Please only report a missed bin if you were not affected by the industrial action.
