New advice leaflet to help with money worries
As part of its Midlothian Cares initiative, Midlothian Council has linked up with Independent Food Aid Network UK to produce a new leaflet with advice for people who are struggling to make ends meet.
Help and advice
The Worrying about Money leaflet sets out how and where to get help and advice in Midlothian.
- It can be viewed online or downloaded now on the Worrying About Money website
- Printed copies will also be available free, in local libraries, from January 2023
Partnership
The Independent Food Aid Network works on behalf of hundreds of food aid providers operating across the country, including more than 550 independent food banks. The Scottish Government is funding their series of Worrying about Money leaflets, which are being published in conjunction with councils and other partner organisations across Scotland.
Step-by-step guide
“This is a very welcome addition to the range of cost of living support services being promoted by the council,” said Midlothian Council Leader, Councillor Kelly Parry. “These leaflets are co-designed as a straightforward way for people facing money worries to get the help they need. Their step-by-step guides identify which local agencies are best placed to help people maximise their income and access any money that they’re entitled to.”
