Upgrade of Housing Services database
Essential maintenance and systems upgrades on the Housing Services database has taken slightly longer than anticipated and will continue until Monday 9 October 2023.
Limited access
During this time, there will be limited access to the system, and we are working to keep this disruption to a minimum.
What services will be affected?
This will affect access to data for housing tenants and will mean we are unable to answer queries on housing service requests, including waiting list positions and points queries. In addition this will mean a delay in processing Council Tax refund requests. Once the system is online again, we will endeavour to deal with any backlog requests as soon as reasonably possible.
Keeping you informed
We will update our social media platforms with further information when this is available.
Payments
Direct payments will continue to be taken on scheduled collection dates and manual payments to rent and Council Tax accounts can still be accepted. We would ask you to continue to make payments to your account during this time as normal.
Website
You can refer to the housing pages of the council website during this time for housing information
Emergency homelessness
An emergency homelessness service will continue to be provided during the upgrade period via 0131 271 3397 or by emailing homeless.enquiries@midlothian.gov.uk
Working hard to upgrade
We want to assure you that our teams will be working diligently to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible and we will do our best to minimise any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.
