Exam success for Daisy

Congratulations to S4 Newbattle High School pupil Daisy Fiennes who received great news today on exam results day. 

Results

Daisy passed the National 5 exams she sat in S3 with an impressive three A grades in Maths, Applications of Maths and French.

Sat exams early

Pupils don’t normally sit National 5 exams until S4 but Daisy sat them in S3 because she had reached the required level to gain a qualification.

Progression

Daisy is now able to go forward with her plan to take Higher Maths as one of her subjects in S4

Pressure

Daisy is pleased with her results and says: “The exams were similar to my prelims which had gone well but it was a bit more stressful as there was more pressure with them being finals. The school provided good exam preparation and I tried to remain calm on exam days.”

Future plans

Daisy hopes to go to university after leaving school but has a few years yet to decide what subject she wants to study.
