The deadline is fast approaching to nominate inspirational young people for a Midlothian’s Young People Award.
Achievements
The annual award scheme helps recognise the achievements of local young people.
Categories
Nominations can be made in five categories:
- Caring and Volunteering
- Local Community
- Sport and Physical Activity
- Arts and Culture
- Achievement in Learning
Midlothian Prize
In addition to the five category awards, there is also a sixth 'Midlothian Prize' award that is presented to the most outstanding young person from all the nominations.
Age group
Nominees should be aged between 8-26 years old at the time of their nomination.
Who can be nominated?
Both individuals and youth groups can be nominated.

Prize giving ceremony
Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony, hosted by Midlothian’s Lord-Lieutenant, Richard Callander and the Midlothian Provost on 26 November at Rosslyn Chapel. All shortlisted nominees will be invited to this event.
Deadline
The closing date for nominations is Friday 11 October 2024.
