Update on resurfacing of pathway

Plans to resurface the pathway NCN 196 from Auchendinny to Rosewell are to be suspended temporarily due to weather conditions.

Path re-opening temporarily on 21 December

The recent cold and wet weather conditions have made it not possible to continue with the resurfacing work for now. Therefore the pathway will reopen from Saturday 21 December, and will remain open until the contractors are able to return to resurface.

Completion

Resurfacing is expected to restart on 3 February 2025. It is estimated that the expected completion time, depending on weather, will now be the middle of February 2025.
