Walkabouts
Once a month, council housing officers and ward councillors visit a Midlothian town for a walkabout to inspect it for any issues and to speak to local residents to hear their concerns.
Reports
Reports are compiled following these visits and then forwarded to the appropriate council teams to pick up on any issues. These reports are also added to the council website.

Improving neighbourhoods
Midlothian Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Stuart McKenzie said:
"These walkabouts for residents and tenants are part of our commitment to improving the quality of neighbourhoods. They give our residents a chance to speak to council staff to discuss issues about their local area and hopefully have any concerns addressed."
