Ring & Go
Ring & Go is a taxi service for communities affected by the withdrawal of regular bus services.
About the service
- The service is to link you to a local bus route from your home address. It is strictly for residents with a valid card.
- As a scheme member, you must pre-book.
- You pay a fixed rate per single journey. The council tops up the payment to a rate agreed with the operator.
- You must show your Ring & Go card to the driver for each journey. If a card is not shown, you cannot travel at the discounted rate.
- Visitors are allowed to travel with a card-holder if there is space in the taxi. However separate journeys for visitors are not allowed.
New card, renewal or replacement
You will need:
- a passport-style colour photo
- proof of address showing you live in one of the areas covered by the scheme.

For renewals, please apply in advance. Processing time is up to 15 working days from the time we receive your application.
