If you have already signed up for a Direct Debit
- Your Direct Debit payment will be taken on 2 February 2026.
- Your brown bin sticker(s) will be sent in early March.
- Your annual Direct Debit payment will continue until you cancel your subscription or your payment fails.
Cancellations
- If your circumstances change and you need to cancel your Direct Debit, to avoid payment you must do this at least 10 business days before 1 February. If you cancel after that, and your annual payment is collected, you will not be refunded.
- Cancel your Direct Debit mandate through your bank. If you have access to online banking, most apps will allow you to cancel direct debit payments using your device.
Changes to your existing Direct Debit
- If you already have a direct debit for this service no action is required unless you want to change the number of bins for your subscription.
- To reduce the number of bins, cancel the existing direct debit with your bank first, then set up a new Direct Debit before 1 December 2025.
- To add more bins, complete the Direct Debit set up form with the additional number of bins required.
Direct Debit for next year's service
- Sign up for a new Direct Debit payment for next year's service.
- You must do this before 12 noon on Monday 1 December 2025.
- After this time, you can pay online by card from early January 2026.
