Christmas tree recycling

Midlothian Council does not offer a separate kerbside collection of real Christmas trees.

Recycling Centre 

• Your can recycle real Chistmas trees in the garden waste skip at your local Recycling Centre.

Brown bin

• Christmas trees can be collected as part of your brown bin collection service. 
• This service restarts in March 2025.

Bulky uplift

• We can collect Christmas trees at the kerbside as part of a bulky waste uplift.
• The charge is from £30 for up to 6 standard household items.
• This service restarts from 6 January 2025.
